Beginner Level
:::::::::::::::::::::::::: What will be taught? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: Students are to decide on the class topic of each meeting in the first 3 minutes of the class, and we will explore creating with Japanese with the help of dictionary and our collective knowledge. I will help students create the sentences if they feel stuck trying to express their thoughts in Japanese. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: What topics will you cover? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: It could be as small as insects to anime, manga, J-Pop and cultural fun facts and world events and news. It all depends on what students decide in class. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: How is your class structured? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: PLEASE NOTE that this is a class for beginners. NO WHERE in the class description says it is for intermediate level, nor that the entire class will be held in Japanese. You should look for a class to take if you are looking for lessons. This is a safe place for students to learn topics on Japan as well as how to say things in Japanese while they socialize on topics of students' choice. Students are encouraged to actively join in the conversation. This particular class is focused on interpersonal speaking skills. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: How will you teach? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: I will mostly be a facilitator of the conversation, but help with grammar and preferred words/vocabulary will be given to the students through the use of Padlet. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: Each class time students are encouraged to participate in the discussion and ask questions to check on grammar and vocabulary. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: Any required experience or knowledge learners need? :::::::::::::::::::::::::: None needed. The more you hear the target language, the more you will learn.

Pre-Requisites
Learners must have previously learned hiragana. So if you learned hiragana already, but not quite confident with them all, this may be a good fit. If you haven't learned any hiragana, take a look at my beginner Japanese 1.
