Intermediate Level
In this 10-week online course, students will progress to the level of Beginner-Intermediate in the Japanese language. This class practices reading and writing Hiragana and Katakana, and introduces new verbs and grammar patterns. Class members will meet 1 time per week. Each weekly meeting will be held lecture-style, with plentiful interaction and prompts to practice speaking aloud. Students will continue to build their Japanese reading and writing skills. Students will add more verbs and grammar patterns to their vocabulary to enhance sentence-building skills.
I lived in Japan for 2 years. I have studied the language extensively and speak Japanese at an intermediate level. I also have experience teaching foreign languages.
Homework Offered
Students will be asked to create their own sentence using that week's new verbs and grammar patterns.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

This course is meant to follow Japanese 1: Grades 4-6 and Japanese 2: Grades 4-6. This course is only held through the Prisma online school program.
Please be sure each learned comes prepare to practice writing with a notebook, paper, or whiteboard. (A notebook is best, so they can keep their notes for later study).
