Class Experience
This 360° virtual escape room is based on the life and literary work of Jane Austen, with a special focus on Pride and Prejudice. This course will be fully immersive, while providing an historical context into Pride and Prejudice, and the overall contribution of Jane Austen. Learners will travel back in time to the Regency Period as they answer trivia, solve puzzles, and decode hidden messages for time runs out! Some codes are easier than others. I have a B.A. in European History and an M.A. in World History, as well as an M.A. in Globalization Studies. I focused my B.A. in European History with a focus on the Middle Ages and Renaissance art and culture to the 19th century. I studied women in the Renaissance period, as well as the historiography of the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment. In graduate school, I studied the cultural history of the Europen Enlightenment, as well as historiography from ancient Greece& Rome into the Renaissance and the Enlightenment Era, specifically in the areas of art, politics, culture, and philosophy. I have always had a passion for social an women's history in both European and World History, and feel that this course will provide a fun introduction into that world!
