What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
I will teach the names of pet animals in response to the students’ interests. Common pets and more unusual ones can be included. I will model sentences so that students can tell the class what their pet is called, how old their pet is, if their pet is big or small, what colour their pet is etc. We will play Animal Lotto, Guess the Animal and sing a song about animals. Well behaved pets are welcome to make a brief appearance in the class if this is not too disruptive. This class is suitable for students at any level of language learning, as I will model the language and provide visual prompts/clues.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the names of common pets and their own pets in French. They will have fun telling classmates about their pets and learning about other people's pets, playing games and singing.

Hi and Bonjour from the U.K. Thank you for looking at my profile and considering my classes for your children. I love teaching here on Outschool.
I am Kim Wark. I am English. I was born and brought up in London, but moved to Leeds for university and have lived in Yorkshire ever since.
1) I offer French classes to students of all ages and levels, from 4 year olds to 18 year olds, from Kindergarten to High School level. Classes may include singing, role play, storytelling and games. I have lived and worked in France and spend most school holidays there. I am looking forward to sharing my love of French with your child. When I am in France I teach classes from local places of interest.
2) I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education to teach French and English at secondary school (ages 11-18) and all subjects at Primary Level (ages 4-11).
I also have further qualifications in Special Educational Needs, including autism.
As part of my degree course I taught English for a year in a French school. I have taught pupils aged 3-18 in schools (state, private and Special Schools), students aged 16+ at Colleges and tutored individual students. Here on Outschool I teach students from around the world.
I home-schooled my younger son, who is autistic and has learning difficulties, for 8 years. I discovered the Montessori method and it worked really well for him. I have used a Montessori approach with pupils, including those with SEND.
3) My philosophy has always been to help children do their very best. I have been privileged to teach some amazing children who have made progress beyond what was predicted for them. I was thrilled to celebrate their success with them.
4) When I was about 5 years old my mum took me to a Horse Show because our late queen, Elizabeth II, was attending. Apparently, I piped up in the loud, clear voice of a 5-year-old, 'Mummy, where is the Queen?' She was standing right in front of me, but I didn't recognise her because she wasn't wearing her crown!!! So embarrassing!!!
