Class Experience

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Jacques a Dit - That's French for Simon Says. This is a lesson for beginners in French. I have designed this lesson for students ages 7-11 who want to learn and use practical French commands while moving in class. A small class size offered here will allow your child ample opportunity to participate and speak in class. In order to create a safe and positive classroom experience, I will remind each student of "Our Class Rules" on Zoom. Respect is our number one rule. This stress-free, educational and interactive lesson will involve the "I do, We do, You do" method. I strongly believe this method will benefit many second language learners. Throughout the lesson, I will provide support and proper feedback to your child and other students in the class. My main goal is to instill self-confidence while your child learns French as a second language.

I will do my part and I hope your child will do their part too. This is an interactive lesson that will require students to be mindful of their bodies, develop and apply their listening and thinking skills. I will begin the lesson with "Bonjour _____". Your child will learn the nine commands: stand up (levez-vous) , sit down (asseyez-vous) , hand up (levez la main) , hand down (baiser la main), stop (arrêtez), touch the head (touchez la tête), touch the nose (touchez le nez), jump (sautez), dance (dancez) to successfully play Jacques a dit.

I promise this will be a blast for young learners and adults alike!
I look forward to seeing your child in my class!
