I have been in education for over 20 years and have had the privilege of teaching little ones how to read and write. I also have experience teaching online for the past three years. Here is what some of my parents have to say about my classes: "I'm very glad to meet Miss Lisa. This class is very interesting. Thank you for your patience and correcting my child's pronunciation in time. Look forward to seeing you again." Vivian's mom. 7/3/2020 "The teacher has done a good job." Elsa's mom. 6/16/2020 "The teacher has patience and expansion. Thank you Miss Lisa." Elena's mom. 3/11/2020
Students should at least practice writing their names at home. Students will not be required to complete homework, however parents will have an opportunity to download slides to help reinforce concepts reviewed in class. Slides are my own proprietary property and can not be shared outside this class.
1. Tracing paper, downloaded for free, is very helpful to new students when writing. 2. A pencil with a preschool/kindergarten grip will also be helpful for correct finger holding. These can be found among school supplies at stores like Target and Walmart. 3. Basic and big crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Upon request, parents will be given feedback detailing strengths and weaknesses of their students.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
With young students, a parent nearby can help incase a child needs assistance or help staying attentive.
No outside sources are needed.
Teaching is a work of heart.
