In this one-time "circle time style" class, young learners will be taught a wacky song, play a wacky game, and listen to the one and only "Wacky Wednesday" by Dr. Seuss. First, I will greet each child and give them the opportunity to greet the class. Second, the children will be taught a fun and engaging song. Please make sure your child has space to move. The song will be taught in a "repeat after me" style. The class will be encouraged to sing along with the teacher. Then, the children will listen and follow the directions when instructed on how to play a fun and interactive game. Lastly, the children will listen to the story "Wacky Wednesday" by Dr. Seuss. Children will be given the opportunity to search and find objects that are "wacky" or out of place in the story. If time, the children will also be given the opportunity to share a wacky or special item from their home.
Learning Goals
The learning goals for this interactive class are as follows:
- Learning a new song. Be able to sing it on their own.
- Listening and following directions.
- Working together as a team.
- Speak to teacher in class.
- Share a special item from home.
