Welcome to Preschool! Preschool is an important part of a child's life. Preschool teaches students content, school skills, and social skills. In these classes, students will experience a virtual preschool class that incorporates each of these elements. What will the classes look like? In the beginning of class, we will say, "Hello," to each student. We will talk about our day or weekend. Students will be introduced to the "letter of the day." Throughout the week, we will practice numbers, colors, days of the weeks and months. In each class, there will also be a social skills, social studies, or science lesson. I try to incorporate one of each type of lesson in the week. All of the content in my class will be aligned to early childhood standards. I also try to use methods in my classroom to teach that are proven to be beneficial to children's learning. We will talk about some American holidays and American places. Please note that this is a BEGINNER class. Many of the students in this class are learning classroom skills. We regularly practice raising our hand and waiting for friends to finish talking to talk. I try to leave students unmuted to mimic a real classroom. At times, I may have to mute your child. Please show your child how to unmute or tell your child to come get you if they need to unmute. Thank you so much. What is my experience? I have taught over 5,000 classes online. About half of these classes have been students 3-6. I also worked in a childcare center and worked with children infant to Kindergarten age. Feel free to message me with any concerns. I know for many students this may be their first class.
