In this one-time course, students will learn to identify coins, their value up to one dollar, and build a funny monster!
Class experience
In this course, students will practice identifying these coins and their value-penny, nickel, dime, quarter. I will also introduce the dollar bill. Through a fun song, use of props and a fun "Build a Monster" game, students will enjoy learning about money. We can extend by adding coin and dollar amounts and answer problems like- How many pennies make a nickel? Students will be engaged through the fun game and use of large money props. We can discuss what things we would like to save money...

Homework Offered
Students may complete attached activity sheets for practice.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
