US Grade Kindergarten - 3
The students will be taught about the African-American holiday Kwanzaa. We will learn how the holiday came to be, its origins and meaning. We will be introduced to the symbols of Kwanzaa, Swahili words used, its principles and their meaning. This one time class will introduce topics such as : What is Kwanzaa and its symbols? We will also go over the seven days of Kwanzaa and its 7 principles.

...Students will need construction paper, crayons or markers, safety scissors, glue or glue sticks. Print outs will also be provided.
