It’s Fall: Let's Learn About Pumpkins!

Let's have some pumpkin fun!  We will begin by looking at some real pumpkins and sharing any that the learners bring with them! Next, we will read a book where we will learn about how a pumpkin grows. During this engaging read aloud, the students will get to share their knowledge of pumpkins as we read through the story.  Students will learn new vocabulary words and make connections to their real-life experiences with pumpkins as they see pictures of pumpkins in our book. We will check their comprehension of what we read about by doing a sequencing activity.  Then, students will learn a song about pumpkins. We will do an interactive activity while singing our song together (using the supplies listed below). Our song and activity will practice counting skills and rhyming words.  Parents can help with the activity as needed, but they are to remain off camera during class. Children are welcome to bring along a pumpkin or their jack-o-lantern if they'd like to show the class!
