It’s Fall: Let's Learn About Pumpkins!
In this one-time fall class, students will listen to a story about pumpkins. We will look at how pumpkins grow and what they look like as they grow from a seed into a pumpkin. Then students will learn a song and do a pumpkin activity.

Let's have some pumpkin fun! We will begin by reading a book where we will learn about how a pumpkin grows. During this engaging read aloud, the students will get to share their knowledge of pumpkins as we read through the story. Students will learn new vocabulary words and make connections to their real-life experiences with pumpkins as they see pictures of pumpkins in our book. Then, students will learn a song about pumpkins. We will do an interactive activity while singing our song...
Students will learn how pumpkins grow. Students will also learn a new song and do a craft together.
I am a licensed elementary teacher who has been teaching students for 14 years. I also enjoy doing these activities with my own young children.
-playdough-I prefer it to be orange, white, green, or blue (please message me if you don't have play dough and I am happy to send you a recipe to make some) -a real pumpkin/jack-o-lantern (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parent support may be helpful for younger students. But parents must remain off camera.
