It's Elemental! Learn the Periodic Table

In this one-day class, students will learn how the periodic table is arranged and gain knowledge of properties of elements in different groups. We will go over the structure of atoms including protons and electrons and relate that to atomic number and mass. Students do not need prior knowledge in chemistry as this class begins with basic concepts. This class can also serve as a review for students if they have had chemistry in the past but need additional knowledge. The class will include working through a fictional periodic table which is a fun way to bolster understanding of the periodic table. The class is an interactive class that allows students to ask questions and discuss concepts.
