Class Experience

In this class, learners will first review goal setting basics. This includes reviewing the definition of a goal and examples of goals that learners want to achieve, either now or later in life. Then we will delve into all about goal setting using the SMART method (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely) by working on an example together, as an entire group.

There will be a Google Slides presentation that I will be sharing. No background knowledge in goal setting is needed. Please note, we will spend some time discussing the learners' goals and, if they choose, will share a goal, with the SMART method, to the class at the end of the session.

Learning Goals

Learners will know what the SMART method is and how they can implement SMART goals in their lives. Each student, whether they choose to share with the class or not, will leave class with a goal broken down using the SMART method, as well as a checklist to use for setting future goals.
