In this ongoing class, learners will get to make new friends while having weekly slumber party-themed fun. Each week, learners will complete a creative craft or simple cooking activity, play interactive social games, and share their thoughts on a related conversational topic. Week One: - a pencil - plain white paper - pencil crayons or markers Week Two: - approximately ten graham crackers - a ziploc bag - 6 tablespoons butter - 4 oz. cream cheese - 3 tablespoons sugar - 4 oz. whipped topping - fruit of your choice - measuring spoons - measuring cups - a bowl - two wooden spoons - a cake pan - a spatula - a refrigerator - a utensil knife Week Three: - a large craft styrofoam ball - a wooden dowel - white glue - string or yarn - googly eyes - craft felt - markers - small pom poms - fabric scraps (optional) - any other decorative materials of choice Week Four: - 2 cups flour - 1 cup salt - 1 cup water - a cup - a bowl - a wooden spoon - a paper plate - modelling clay in a few colours including blue

Parents and guardians may wish to supervise art and cooking activities to ensure safety and that mess is kept to a minimum, especially when materials such as utensil knives and scissors are used. They may also wish to supervise the use of websites such as Blooket and Jigsaw Explorer. They will need to give parental approval so these websites may be used. These websites will be used by students to play games together. Both websites require a password to join in a game which will be managed by me. Both websites also do not gather information. The cooking activity on week two includes dairy and wheat based items.
