Description
Class Experience
In this unit, children will learn pre-literacy skills such as tracing, coloring, the left (go) to right (stop) motion of reading and writing, and eliciting verbal responses from visual cues (reading pictures).
I've been teaching preschool for 12 years and my students have all loved and had great success learning to read and write with the itl program. I am currently going through it with my own children who are 4 and 6 and they love it.
Materials needed for the lessons in this unit are crayons, white stock or construction paper, tongue depressors, scissors, glue sticks, tape or stapler, something round to traces such as a cup or small bowl.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
