Italian With Native Italian Speaker

Class Experience:

Learners will develop communication, reading, and writing skills with proper intonation, pronunciation, and form. 
The main topics are built on the development of basic vocabulary: time, days and months, everyday objects, seasons, and weather. Students will also get a glimpse of conversational Italian, pronunciation, grammar, and Italian culture. 

The class's structure is based on the learning goals of the students, thus it is flexible, tailored, and goal-oriented. 
I expose the students to the language in each class, encouraging students to actively participate, practice, share, and enjoy the class, in a learning-by-doing format that encourages amusement without sacrificing rigor. I am a patient, enthusiastic, positive, and motivating teacher. I work with a structured lesson plan, but I also leave room for flexibility and promptly tweak it if need be. If they feel comfortable doing so, students are encouraged to interact through discussion.

Week 1: Introduction to a CONVERSATION and HOW TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES in the Italian Language;
Week 2: GREETINGS, COMMON EXPRESSIONS, and PHRASES for everyday conversation. Syllables and sounds: GHI, GHE;
Week 3: Sentences and vocabulary with the DAYS, THE MONTHS of the year, and the WEATHER. Syllables and sounds: CHI, CHE; 
Week 4: Proper pronunciation exercises. Sentences with BODY PARTS vocabulary. Syllables and sounds: SCI, SCE;
Week 5: Conjugation of the verbs TO BE and TO HAVE: ESSERE, AVERE. PERSONAL PRONOUNS. Syllables and sounds: GNE GNI;
Week 6: Sentences with NUMBERS and EVERYDAY OBJECTS vocabulary. Syllables and sounds: GLI, GLIE;

Basic Italian knowledge is recommended but not mandatory.
