Spring Semester series of 10 classes include basic elements of the language, grammar, learning vocabulary and conversation. 

Students will learn: 
Nouns, Adjectives, Definite and Indefinite Articles, Interrogative Pronouns, Present Tense, Present Tense Irregular Verbs, Modal Verbs. 

WEEKLY CLASS PROGRAM: 

Class 1 - Week 1: Greetings and How to Introduce themselves. Nouns and Pronouns. Present tense (to have). 
Class 2 - Week 2: Ask for origin, address, information. Present tense (to be). 
Class 3 - Week 3: How to start a conversation. Present tense verbs in -ARE.
Class 4 - Week 4: Interrogative Pronouns. Present tense (to do). 
Class 5 - Week 5: Plural. Present Tense verbs in -ERE. How to speak at a restaurant. 
Class 6 - Week 6: Present Tense verbs in -IRE. Modal verbs: to want. Casual and formal language.
Class 7 - Week 7: Adjectives. How to speak about free time. Present Tense irregular verbs: to go. 
Class 8 - Week 8: How to use coordinating conjunctions (and, but, for...). Verb 'to leave'. 'Often, Always, Never'. 
Class 9 - Week 9: Verb 'to like". Agree and disagree. Interrogative and Negative.
Class 10 - Week 10: How to speak about personal preferences. General Review. 

Classes include grammar instruction, as well as basic conversation and activities.  As students progress, they read short stories and listen to recorded materials and/or videos. A whiteboard will be used and shared digitally to the classroom for students to learn and review. 

Italian level classes for the school semesters have 10 levels. Classes in this program are equivalent to Level 1 and should be taken first. Level 2 through Level 10 are separate higher level classes and recommended to learners already familiar with the topics described above.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to start learning the Italian language. Objective is to help students develop a familiarity and comfort level with speaking and understanding the basic language.

Materials/Textbook, homework tests and a program will be provided to all students enrolled no later than the day before your first class takes place.
