Students will be learning some conversation skills, vocabulary, and part of an Ed Sheeran song in Italian to make learning Italian fun.

2-4 hours per week. Homework is optional. *Homework each day will be to review the new vocabulary and questions and how to answer them (I provide optional homeworks) *Students will be given coloring sheets, pdfs, etc that goes over the information we learned.Assessment
There are no quizzes or tests. We review and engage in vocabulary and mini-conversations together. Your student should expect to participate. If asked, I provide a certificate in pdf format for finishing the course.Class Experience
Building confidence is key to any foreign language, and that is what I will be doing through this class. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this summer camp, we will focus on learning/reviewing some conversational skills that will allow students to have mini-conversations, a song, and some vocabulary. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 1: We will learn some foods (sandwich, bread, fish, cereal, etc.) and summer terms (beach, sunglasses, ice cream, etc.) Day 2-3: We will learn some of the lyrics to/ sing part of Ed Sheeran's song Perfect Symphony ft. Andrea Bocelli. We will watch/ read the lyrics from YouTube and students will be suggested to practice it through iTunes and YouTube which has lyrics. Day 4: We will learn and practice some conversation skills-- How are you? What's your name? How's the weather? How much does this cost? How old are you? Where is the bathroom? What are your hobbies? Do you speak English? Do you speak Italian?
Learning Goals
The goal of this camp is to help teenagers get excited and feel confident in learning Italian through learning vocabulary, grammar, and small dialogues and help them learn a lot in a short amount of time while feeling confident about it.

Parental Guidance
Students may be given Quizlet links to review some Italian learned. If they want to play and keep their scores for Quizlet games, then they will need an account created by you (but this is not required for my class).
We will use YouTube to listen to the song and read the lyrics in Italian. It will be suggested that the students practice this song on YouTube or on iTunes as both of those two channels have the lyrics in Italian. (However, iTunes is optional).
Printables of information learned will either be attached in the Outschool classroom or be given through a Google Drive link of which no Google account is required but you or your students may want to use the link to print off material to review or bring to class.
The song "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran ft. Andrea Bocelli is about romance (how the woman looks perfect to him and that he's found the woman he wants to marry and have kids with).

I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. In high school, I took Spanish, and at university, I learned up to the Intermediate level in Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn the Italian language by making it fun and engaging through my teaching style, print-offs, and Quizlets games.
