Learn Italian for beginners in a 7 week course of 30 minutes per class to learn some numbers, rooms in a home, and objects in a bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and more!
Class experience
Italian for Bimbi is a series of Italian for beginner classes where students gain confidence in Italian vocabulary and basic conversation skills. In this course, we will meet for 30 minutes each class for 7 classes. Below is the planned schedule: Weekly topics will consist of numbers 1-10, numbers 50-69, and about 8 pages of house objects and rooms. This is in more detail in the syllabus. Printables will be provided. *Subject to change.
7 lessons//7 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Introductions and Numbers 1-10 and 50-59We'll start learning some numbers in Italian (review 1-10 and then learn numbers 50-59).Week 2Lesson 2The Kitchen: House Objects and RoomWe'll review the numbers (1-10 and 50-59) and learn 1-2 pages of house objects and rooms specifically for the kitchen with flashcards.Week 3Lesson 3Numbers 60-69We'll review and then numbers 60-69.Week 4Lesson 4The Kitchen and Living Room: House Objects and RoomsWe'll review and learn more house objects and rooms (about 1-2 more pages) specifically for the kitchen and living room.Week 5Lesson 5The Living Room, Dining Room, and Bedroom: House Objects and RoomsWe'll review and then learn some more house objects (about 1-2 more pages) specifically for living room, dining room, and just starting on the bedroom.Week 6Lesson 6The Bedroom and Bathroom: House Objects and RoomsWe'll review and then continue learning some more house objects (about 1-2 more pages) specifically for the bedroom and bathroom.Week 7Lesson 7Exterior of the HouseWe'll review and if time permits try to finish out the 9 pages of house object flashcards specifically the exterior of the house and outside.
To gain confidence in Italian by working on vocabulary together to make learning fun and memorable for learning numbers and house objects
Having learned Italian at a university level, I aim to inspire the next generation in a love of learning the language through making Italian easier to understand through practicing conversation skills, seeing visual print offs, and practicing pronunciation together.

If we watch a YouTube video in class for comprehension of Italian vocabulary or a song, then I'll post the link in the classroom for optional review. A YouTube account is not necessary.
