Description
Class Experience
Students ages 8 - 12 will read a children's novel as a group and discuss it a few chapters at a time. Each week, students will discuss the book with the assistance of open-ended questions and with closed-ended review questions. They will also have a short homework assignment to complete each week to help them think about their reading.
There will be required reading for each class. Additionally, each class will have a project to be completed during the following week. These projects include but are not limited to answering review questions on a worksheet, completing a visualization drawing, and writing a three-sentence summary.
