An on-going weekly class where learners can meet in a safe and fun environment to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons with peers, play games, trade DIYs, learn design techniques and gather their dreamies.
Class experience
Island Getaway: Weekly Animal Crossing Social Club This online social group will be focused on all things Animal Crossing! Learners age 7-12 will be able to come together in a safe and fun environment to discuss the popular game and make new friends to trade, visit and get advice. My classes are judgment free and welcoming to players of all levels, both new and old! Students will be able to socialize with their peers in a safe environment. Learners will participate in games to learn taking turns, good sportsmanship and showing respect to their friends. Students will become more confident in their conversational skills and be able to develop lasting friendships while learning through play. Learners will also test their creativity and mechanical thinking skills through activities like designing interiors and exteriors on their island.
I have been playing Animal Crossing since the original game came out in 2001. I am very familiar with all of the Animal Crossing games and have experience building my own 5-star island in New Horizons. I have had my island, Besaid, toured and recognized on Youtube by several well-known gaming channels.
In order to participate in PLAYING ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS with peers, you MUST HAVE Nintendo Online account already setup, plus a STRONG internet connection. Your internet must be able to connect to ZOOM and Animal Crossing at the same time while still operating at an optimum speed. Parental controls and out-of-date subscriptions are beyond my control and it is up to the parents/learner to ensure they are ready to travel and visit new islands before class. If we are traveling to your learner's island, please ensure they are familiar with opening the airport by Dodocode so we can visit. I will briefly go over these instructions when necessary. You will need your Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, an Internet connection, a Nintendo online account, and access to our zoom meeting.
