Class Experience

In this introductory class, students will gain an understanding of the three types of irony by becoming irony detectives.  After learning the three types of irony, students will put their knowledge to use by identifying the types of irony found at a variety of crime scenes. The teacher will provide a link to a PearDeck presentation which will allow the students to follow along and interact with the teacher and classmates.

-Introduction (ice breaker)
-Interactive presentation (Introduction to irony)
-Irony detective activity (crime scene irony)
-Kahoot! (final check for understanding)

An understanding of irony will help students to become better at analyzing their reading and writing.
