Class Experience

Dia duit! Róisín is ainm dom! In this one time class, little learners will learn the vocabulary words to talk about their face and their hands, feet, head and hair. This will be a fun filled 25 minutes as we help Mr Potato head find his missing body parts. We will also practice a simple rhyme that will help us reinforce the new words we have learned.

Class size is kept intentionally small so that each little learner has a chance to shine during class.

Having grown up and trained as a teacher in Ireland, I taught Irish every day as part of the elementary curriculum. Learning Irish, as with any language, should be fun, engaging and interactive. In this class, the size is intentionally small to ensure that each student has the opportunity to have practice talking and practicing their new Irish words and sentences. I aim to immerse student in a full Irish language experience where possible, modeling the language and using TPR to encourage the students to participate while reducing the use of English.

Learning Goals

Students will feel like successful language learners, and will have fun with their new friends as they practice using the words they are learning in Irish.
