Description
Class Experience
In this course my students will learn the various Legends and tales surrounding the Fairies. Artist elements and critique will be part of the curriculum as well. Interpretation of the literature will add to the understanding of each subject. Some poetry will be included as well.
All content will be age appropriate and tasteful in nature. I try to tailor content for younger learners age 10 to 13 years old. Certain aspects of various Religions and belief systems will be mentioned but, rest assured these are for academic references only.
Pen and paper for note taking if desired.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each parent will recieve a written report about learner progress in this course.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Ireland Legends and Folklore by Aoife Curran and Great Fairy-tales of Ireland by Mary McGary will be used along with some internet sources, visual artistic works and poetry as well.
