Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. This course will be active with me explaining and demonstrating as well as keeping an eye on all students in the class to see if they require help or are struggling. When I'm speaking or have music playing I may keep the students muted so they are able to hear me/the music clearly but I will be checking on them in between exercises for questions. I may also ask them to show me some of the steps/exercises so that I can see how much information they are retaining and how they are managing with the technique of the steps. The pace of the course will reflect the students in the class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn a short, Irish Dance (Soft Shoe) and some basic Irish Steps (including Skips/7's/Points).
