Irish dance is a fun and high-energy dance style! In this 3 day camp, dancers will participate in a variety of Irish dance hard shoe activities. Hard shoe is the "noisy" kind of Irish dance. No special shoes are necessary, athletic/tennis shoes, tap shoes, or even bare feet will work fine. We will start each class with stretching and a warm up. Then, we will discuss the foundations of good technique followed by learning a short combination of Irish Dance steps. Toward the end of class, dancers will perform the newly learned choreography as a group. We will conclude each class with a calming cool down. This class is structured for beginning Irish dancers. Irish dance is a style that requires practice, perseverance, and a great attitude! Community is very important in the Irish dance world. This class will be a safe place to grow as a dancer and as a person. I have been dancing since I was a young girl in a variety of styles and have been teaching Irish Dance Lessons for several years. Irish Dance is such a special and unique style and I look forward to sharing it with your child. Are you ready to make some noise? I'll see you on the floor! Miss Kelsey Dancer
