In this 6 week class dancers will learn the basics of Irish Dance. Over the six weeks learners will be able to incorporate the basics and building blocks into Irish Step Dances. It's great physical activity and exercise!
Class experience
Learners should wear comfortable clothing suitable for easy movement and flexible shoes which provide traction and also allow them to stand on their toes. No jeans please. Dancers are encouraged to have a water bottle on hand to stay hydrated during class. A large space is not necessary for class however the area should be free from any items on the floor or furniture which may be an obstacle. I have been teaching Irish Dance to children ages 3 and older for 40 years. I am certified through our teacher organization in Ireland and am a member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Mid-America and the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America.
