I will start by teaching the learners about subatomic particles using the Bohr model. Next, they will learn about ions, isotopes, and radioactivity as these things relate to electrons, neutrons, and protons. This class is designed to help students start to think about chemical bonds and ionic compounds. I will demonstrate the information by showing students images of the Bohr model and drawing it out for various atoms. Next, I will discuss variability amongst electrons, protons, and...
Students will be able to understand the subatomic particles that come together to make atoms.
No homework will be assigned, but I will provide an optional worksheet for practicing the Bohr model if students are interested.
No formal assesment will be issued.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
