Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will identify the three major indexes of the US stock markets: DJ, S&P, Nasdaq Composite.
Students will understand and explain the different sections of a company stock market graph: determine the length of time of the graph, trend, ticker symbol, and current stock price. The student will learn and know the other indicators below the company stock graph, such as 52 Low, 52 High, Open, Low, high, P/E ratio, div, div %, market cap. Then the student will learn the two strategies on how to make money from stocks, including what dividends are.
I have an MBA and Doctor of Business Administration degrees. I have been teaching MBA level and undergraduate level finance classes for several years.
No homework is assigned but ideally students will apply their knowledge and look at their favorite companies for future investment.
Since this is a one hour solo class, there will not be an assessment of the material learned.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I use google for current index prices and graphs and individual stock market graphs to show the most up to date stock market content. We will visit the websites for the NYS and Nasdaq.
