In this ongoing class, learners will discover various inventions and scientific breakthroughs in detail along with the people who they are contributed to. We will cover the method of discovery, the date of each invention, and who they were all contributed to. Topics are designed to get students thinking about how our lives have benefited from these discoveries and to brainstorm on how to improve any drawbacks associated with them. This class is presented in Nearpod and is lecture based with student discussion and questions to reinforce the material. I will screen share the slides so that students do not need to create an account. Science and inventions are of special interest to me as a homeschooling mom and geologist. The entire concept behind the scientific method and discovery are important to me as a scientist myself. I enjoy sharing various science-related topics with young learners so that they can begin to explore more and build a love for science.
