Class Experience
The class is an ideal introductory-level Psychology class, and will focus on one 'approach' each week (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SUNDAY CLASS STARTING OCTOBER 2022 WILL MEET EVERY 2 WEEKS): -Cognitive Psychology (including memory models) -Humanistic Psychology (including Maslow's hierarchy of needs) -Social Psychology (including obedience, conformity, and social learning theory) -Biological Psychology (including brain anatomy) -Behaviourist Psychology (including operant and classical...
Students will learn to define and describe the features of the six key approaches
Students will be encouraged to summarise their ideas about the class content after each session (5-10 minutes) Individual assignments, such as research prompts, and short question sets, will also be given (around 30 minutes) Optional extra reading materials will also be suggested
Handouts / note summaries will be uploaded for each session.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
