US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner Level
This note-taking workshop explains the fundamentals of active listening, an introduction to the Cornell Method, application of skills, and retention-oriented! Peer-to-peer review allows students to discuss the Cornell Method, experiences, and feelings (hint-hint active listening skills coming into play). My teaching style for this course is to build confidence using a method of note-taking that's useful, efficient, and foolproof. Students may feel overwhelmed in high school. I want to build confidence in the material being learned by allowing students to take control through their quality over quantity note-taking. No experience is necessary, this is a beginner-level workshop - all new learners feeling nervous about high school classes - or who are currently in high school are welcomed and highly encouraged! Workshop 1: Introduction to Cornell Note-Taking System, active listening, & retention. Workshop 2: Note-taking Engagement!
Learning Goals
My goal is to offer one (1) very effective note-taking method. The goal is to build confidence and retention in every student's learning journey.
