Learners will be required to participate in reading assigned materials that may come from USDA websites, gardening forums, and gardening magazines. These materials will be provided by the teacher in a document. Students will be required to complete written assignments, illustrative assignments and a final quiz. Students will also be required to respond to prompts in the discussion forum within the FLEX class. These discussion questions will be posted two days a week and the schedule for those, as well as the video posting will be posted within the class materials and announced at the beginning of class. As well as a recorded weekly video, students will be asked to respond to weekly discussion topics. These will be questions that the teacher will ask the students to elaborate on, give response to, or give an hypothesis too. Students will have opportunities through the week to participate in the classroom chat on various prompts and explore resources provided by the teacher. Students can contact the teacher via the message board during weekdays Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. Students will have access to the videos for all 6 weeks.
