Your learners will be understanding fractions of a dollar, reading fractions and mixed numbers from a number line, fractions equal to one and one-half, improper fractions and adding and subtracting fractions with common denominators.

Description
Class Experience
Students will understand what a fraction is and see how we use them in everyday life. Through this they will understand fractions of a dollar and how to read mixed numbers and fractions. Students will also learn what fractions equal to one and one-half. Lastly students will learn improper fractions and how to add and subtract fractions with common denominators.
There will not be any mandatory homework. This class is all done during class time.
White board and dry erase board (optional) Paper and pencil Scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be informally assessed throughout the lesson.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
