Introduction to Zoo-Phonics
What's included

30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class children will be introduced to the name, signal and sound of the 26 animals of zoo-phonics. Zoo-phonics uses animals in the shape of lowercase letters and intertwined with uppercase letters for a visual representation. Each Zoo-phonics character has a name that reinforces letter sounds (ex: Allie Alligator). The characters also have a signal (hand or body movement) to bring movement and fun into the lesson. At the beginning of class students will be introduced to all 26 zoo-phonics characters, their signal and sound. The children will be encouraged to stand up, say hello to each characters picture, and make the signal and sound along with me. After all the characters have been introduced we will work on coloring a special Certificate of Completion while discussing our favorite zoo phonics characters. I will be offering a follow up to this course. “PreK-Kindergarten Animal ABC’s/Phonics: Playdough Letter Building and Show & Tell” where we complete a zoo-phonics overview and take an in depth look at one letter per class. I also have a flexible schedule class, “Learn Phonics A-Z with a Family Friendly Letter Challenge” that is great for families who want to learn zoo-phonics together.
