Description
Class Experience
Learners will be introduced to the basics of building for the web. There will be 3 main concepts taught in the course: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Course breakdown: HTML - 2 sessions Learn how to structure a website using the standard markup language of the web. Lessons will include information about building websites to accommodate screen readers and other accessibility tools. CSS - 2 sessions Learn how to style a website with the standard styling language of the web, Cascading Style...
This class is taught in English.
The biggest takeaway from this class will be that students will be introduced to how websites work. Students will be able to decide if they want to pursue web development and / or programming after being exposed to these concepts.
10 years of professional web design and development experience.
No homework will be assigned, but resources for independent learning will be provided.
A computer with a web browser and some sort of text editor (notepad or similar). Students can also download geany: https://www.geany.org/
No assessments will be administered.
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
