Class Experience

In this 2-day art class you will learn all about watercolor painting. Practice using different watercolor Techniques and then apply them to several pieces of art.

We will experiment with the techniques together before applying them to our artwork.

I will demonstrate the techniques and how to apply them to your artwork. You will create along with me, you can decide if to copy mine exactly or to add your own flair and extras. I will also teach some different effects and give you ideas to enhance your work.

At the end of the camp you will have at least 2 pieces of beautiful artwork that you will be proud of.

This is an interactive class, you can ask questions as we go along by raising your hand. I will check on how your artwork is coming along. I leave time at the end of each day for each learner to share their artwork.

NOTE - This class will only take place if 3 or more are enrolled!

If you’re interested in this class, but don’t see a time that fits your schedule, feel free to reach out to me!

If you have taken the class before, let me know and I will make sure we complete different artwork than the last time you attended.

This is how the class will be structured over the 2-days (if time permits extra techniques may be taught):-

Day 1 - Watercolor Techniques - Blending and applying watercolor paints, Wet on Dry, Wet on wet, Oil pastel and sharpie resist, Painted paper.

Day 2 - Watercolor Techniques - Texture, creating edge definition, applying salt to your work, bubble wrap texture.

Here is a list of some of the artwork we can create to practice the techniques, what I choose will depend on how many are in the class and what I think will fit best with their abilities :-

Medieval Castle
Koi fish
Chameleon
Iceberg
Snake
Caribbean sunset

How many pieces of artwork created will depend on how fast the class is picking up the techniques and applying them, how much discussion is in class etc.
