Class experience
In this one time course we will explore the history of red carpet fashion. Going back in time, we will discuss recurring themes through the decades and decide whether it's a style that should last. Then, following our discussion we will draw a figure using proportion techniques through step by step instruction. Students will improve their drawing and watercolor painting skills. Students will be able to identify the different design elements used to create their watercolor fashion sketch.
Watercolor paper (2-3 single pages , 9 x 12 inches miniumum) watercolour paint palette paintbrushes -- thin and wide tipped cup of water felt tip black pen (or variety of colors) pencil and eraser inspiration -- print outs of fashion items they love.
