In this one-time class, learners will meet the instruments of the bowed string family. We will briefly discuss the history and development of modern stringed instruments, and then we will listen to a variety of string music. Violin, viola and cello will be demonstrated live by the teacher as well as by video clips; double bass will be demonstrated by video clips only. Learners will have movement breaks during the class, will have the chance to provide accompaniment to the live demos, and may choose to color the coloring pages provided while listening to the examples.
