Beginner Level
Join me for a FUN and EASY to follow Introduction to Beginner Level Violin Class that introduces violin to all learners ages 7-18 from the start! Class is designed for first time players as well as beginner level players in need of extra violin technical support. * If you're not sure if violin is the right instrument for you, this class will for sure help you find out! * Students are not expected to have any music background before taking this class ** Young learners are strongly recommended to have an adult stand near them for extra support as they learn proper violin posture and technique! COURSE CONTENT AND TOPICS COVERED a) Violin parts, their names and meaning b) Finger markings and how to attach them c) Proper shoulder rest adjustment and attachment d) Tuning the violin using a tuner e) Correct violin posture f) String names and plucking (pizzicato) g) Left hand positioning and proper note reading (D major scale) g) Bow introduction and/or improvement (proper bow hold+bow movement) ** Any topics are open for a discussion, review, or more practice. If there's something you wish to work on that is not listed above, let me know in the description! MATERIALS REQUIRED a) Violin of proper size with FINGER MARKINGS on or ready to be attached !!! b) Rosin for the bow c) Violin Tuner (battery or an APP) CLASS ROUTINE: > Easy-read slides with large pictures and examples are often used as well as videos for a better understanding of many topics such as violin posture, string tuning , etc. > Introduction to music theory and note reading is learned or reviewed, also plucking and/or bowing notes on the strings > Violin practice through fun violin tunes is encouraged to help improve bow hold and bow movement, increasing learner's confidence and excitement in further pursuing their goals of learning to play violin on a higher level as they enter into some of my ongoing 1-to-1 violin classes such as the Beginner Violin Essentials or the Suzuki #1 #2 #3 Beginner to Advance Violin class. TEACHING STYLE > A lot of practice as well as learner's involvement in the class is constantly enforced through many repetitions, examples, questions and open conversations > I like to pursue an ongoing student/teacher interaction to help every learner stay fully engaged in the material that they're learning > Good communication and clear understanding of words and numbers are very important so that the learner applies them into their daily violin practice with confidence I'm looking forward to helping you explore your talents and potentials, love of music and much more! Learning Goals
Student learn important violin terminology as well as violin technique such as violin hold and bow hold, bow movements on and off the strings. Lesson will be easy to follow with many fun exercises and repetition. Violin maintenance equally important.

Parents should make sure that their learner's violin is in tune and that they're set up, their bow rosined.
Supply List
Violin with proper size and finger markings, tuner, shoulder rest or a foam material for support and comfort.
