This class will introduce students to the ukulele instrument - tuning, string names, frets, strumming, reading chord charts, tablature, and learning one chord.
Class experience
This class will introduce students to the ukulele instrument and its history. Students will learn about tuning their ukulele using a tuner. Students will also learn the names of the strings through letter names and number names. In addition, students will learn about frets and proper finger placement to make chords. We will practice simple strumming patterns and hand placement used for strumming during songs. Also, students will learn how to read chord charts and tablature. At the end of...
Students will learn the basics of the ukulele to help them feel confident once they begin taking classes to learn chords and songs.
Mrs. Becca has been teaching elementary school for over 17 years and has been playing instruments and singing for over 30 years.
