No experience necessary but also a fun day of exploring theater for those who who love acting. We'll jump into the imaginative world of theater and improv. Class will begin with an ice breaker and team building game because in theater we become part of an ensemble and need to work together. Students will then be able to try on different characters and walk and talk and feel the "yes, and" support of their teammates. How are different characters different than me? What clues can we give...
Students will learn stage basics (stage right, stage left, upstage, downstage) while building confidence onstage and expressing themselves creativity. Students will learn a "yes, and" support character warm up that can be played with friends and family at home or over zoom.
Open space where our learners can move freely and safely.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
