Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class, learners will be introduced to The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Many students struggle to understand and comprehend Shakespeare's classic plays. This interactive class will provide students an opportunity to thoroughly grasp the premise of the play, so they will be able to further analyze the literature. To begin the class, learners will complete an anticipation guide that overviews the main themes throughout the tragedy. After discussing and sharing...
By the end of class, students should be able to fully comprehend The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. This will be proven by passing a Kahoot challenge.
Currently, I am a high school English teacher. I have directly taught The Tragedy of Macbeth for about four years. I have a thorough understanding and background of the common questions most students ask when beginning this text. Please reach out and ask me any questions regarding concerns you may have!
Although not required, I highly recommend students take notes during the lesson to help aid in remembering the classic play.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Kahoot
- YouTube
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The Tragedy of Macbeth includes violence. Pictures and videos of violence will not be shown but will be discussed as it pertains to the play. This class is best suited for high school students.
We will be referencing the Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. YouTube will be used to show a short clip to help with understanding. Kahoot will be used at the end of class as an assessment.
