Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
In this One-Time class, students will be introduced to the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815); the causes, course of events, weapons and tactics will be discussed. In this overview class students will also learn about Napoleon Bonaparte, one of the world's great captains of Military History.  

Main Points to be covered in this class: 
1) The context behind the Napoleonic Wars
2) The wars of coalition
3) The casualties and consequences of the war

The Napoleonic Wars were a series of major conflicts from 1803 to 1815, pitting the French Empire and its allies, led by Napoleon Bonaparte, against a fluctuating array of European powers formed into various coalitions, financed and usually led by the United Kingdom.

A very thorough handout which has history skill specific questions and answers is provided for the student to complete at their leisure after the class. If time allows we will begin to address this questions in class as a group.
