Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to locate significant geographical features in Greece. Students will be able to explain why geography influenced the culture of the early Greeks. Students will be able to explain why the Greeks were so influential in the development of the western world.
I am a licensed middle school and high social studies teacher in the state of Ohio. I have been teaching social studies to middle school students for the last four years. I have used this same lesson with students in the classroom and it has always been highly engaging. I also have a Bachelor's degree in both Education and History.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
An informal formative assessment (verbal comprehension checks) will be used to assess learners' mastery of the learning goals.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
