For the youth who is interested in Tagalog --- In this class, you will get a basic understanding of the Philippines, its culture and languages. You will learn how important the Filipino culture values respect towards the elders through language and practice. You will also gain insight of borrowed words from other languages. We will then focus on Tagalog which is the national language of the Philippines. We will learn greetings and introductions. Students will be taught pronunciation and intonation of words and sentences. If need be, I will introduce the very basic of reading Tagalog words. The students will spend some time practicing with me and with each other during class. At the end of the class, each student will be expected to have the knowledge on how introduce themselves in Tagalog. Everything about this class is basic. It is perfect for those who have not taken any prior Tagalog courses.
