Description

Class Experience

Winter is almost here and so is the beautiful night sky ! Let's learn how to identify some famous constellations, planets  and some brightest stars in the night sky. 

   In this course learners will also be introduced  to some famous constellations and how to locate  and track them in the night sky.  
We will learn about the difference between circumpolar and seasonal (Zodiacal) constellations. We will also learn to locate Polaris (North star). We will discuss why the polar star is different...

Students will be able to identify and locate  few famous constellations, planets and some brightest stars in the night sky.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Stellarium

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
