Description
Class Experience
In this course, students will learn: -The different types of sports stories -The impact of social media and technology on sports journalism -Various tips for creating a good sports story -How to keep their audience in mind when writing a sports story
Writing is something I have always been passionate about ever since I was a young child. I have written blog posts, review articles, and social media posts as part of a college internship. I believe that students should be introduced to journalism from an early age, as it really fuels creativity and allows them to write about something that excites them!
No homework will be assigned, as this is a one-time course.
I will also share a pdf file of the class handouts. Printing these handouts is optional, but I recommend printing them before the first class day so students can follow along and take notes. Students can also pull up the handouts on their electronic devices if printing isn't available.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
