Students will learn to speak basic Spanish through conversations. All absolute beginner Spanish speakers are welcome to join! We will start out with small conversations from day one! Students will learn in a useful and meaningful way.
Class Experience
My class is meant for anyone who wants to learn Spanish in a useful way. Maybe you are frustrated that your children are not progressing after many years studying the language, they haven't been exposed to it a long time ago and lack fluency, or they have never learned a word of it. In these 8 weeks, we will cover all the basic topics such as nouns, genders, regular and irregular verbs, common phrases, how introduce oneself, colors, numbers, animals, ... and much more! Each class will focus...
8 lessons//8 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Class 1: Basic greetings and introductionsWe will learn some basic greetings and how to introduce ourselves.Week 2Lesson 2Class 2: Numbers and colorsWe will learn the numbers and colors.Week 3Lesson 3Class 3: Subject pronounsWe will learn the subject pronouns.Week 4Lesson 4Class 4: Verb conjugationWe will learn verb conjugation.Week 5Lesson 5Class 5: 'Ser' and 'estar'We will learn the differences between 'ser' and 'estar'.Week 6Lesson 6Class 6: Gender and number of nounsWe will learn gender and number of nouns.Week 7Lesson 7Class 7: Animals and 'there is/are'We will learn some animals and how to say 'there is' and 'there are'Week 8Lesson 8Class 8: Conversation practiceWe will practice everything we have learned in conversations.
- The students will acquire a good basic knowledge of Spanish and they will be able to use it in small conversations.
I have several years of experience teaching Spanish. I am originally from Spain and I have lived in several other Spanish speaking countries. I have experience teaching students of all levels. My goal is that students feel comfortable speaking for themselves in many settings.

Homework
Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: After each class I will post some homework to practice the materials we have covered in the class. Even though, the homework is optional, I highly recommend spending some time doing the activities to help understanding and memorization. There will be homework that needs to be submitted as a word document and some additional activities for practice will be provided using a Nearpod presentation. I will review and provide feedback to all the submitted homework.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: The progress is assed in every class. I will be happy to provide specific reports at the end of the 8 weeks (upon request).
The class will use sometimes nearpod presentations to complete some activities. I will provide the link to the presentation in the chat during the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
