Students will be able to interact with the teacher through a virtual classroom. They will learn through repetition and practice of vocabulary, simple phrases, alphabet, and numbers. All students will be given the opportunity to converse with the teacher as well as other students in the classroom.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to hold a simple conversation or answer simple questions. They will be able to introduce themselves and hold a simple conversation.
Week 1: Students will learn basic words to introduce themselves (hello, goodbye, my name is..., how are you?, I am doing well) and will learn also learn the numbers 1-10.
Week 2: Students will review phrases and numbers from the previous lesson. Students will learn the alphabet. Students will also learn family titles (father, mother, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather).
Week 3: Students will review previous material learned in class. Students will learn basic school term (teacher, school, books, lunch, recess, homework) and how to say and answer questions such as Do you like...? and yes and no.
Week 4: Students will learn about different feelings (I am happy, I am sad, I am tired) and colors (green, yellow, red, blue, pink, purple, black, orange).

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a state certified Spanish and English teacher. I have taught students in both elementary and high school. I am a fluent speaker. I was born in the USA in a Spanish speaking home. I grew up speaking both languages at the same time, this approach I believe helps me to better understand and teach world language learners.
